We’re working in the community to make Hackney climate-friendly and bring bills down.
Stokey Energy is turning buildings from the cultural venues to local schools into solar powerhouses - we’ve got plenty of projects with local favourites completed and we’re on the lookout for more. Want to get involved? Read on and have a quick look at the film below to see a highlights of our projects from the last three years.
Green Streets
Stokey Energy is on a mission to help get solar panels on your roof. Find out more about more about how you can cut your bills and fight climate change with solar panels.
Where did we start?
Stokey Energy was established by a group of local residents, each with unique expertise- from building contractors to planning gurus, we’re ready to transform streets and lives with solar panels, insulation and heat pumps.
Community
Right now, we’ve helped schools, theatres, sports centres and other public buildings go green. Over time, we will expand to look at health facilities, libraries and local authority housing. If it’s got a roof, it’s an option! Every building counts.
Our Goals
We want to see Stoke Newington become an active part of the quest to combat climate change!
Our immediate objectives are to work with the community to achieve the following:
∙Install high quality, low cost solar & renewable energy systems on houses, businesses & buildings in Stoke Newington.
∙Create an energy ‘bulk buying’ group in Stoke Newington that will get better prices on buying renewable energy .
Who are we?
If your first reaction to the thought of solar panels or a greener home is “difficult” - you are our reason for being.
Whether you’re a property owner, a renter, or a school, business or community, our aim is to help you.
