Stokey Energy is turning buildings from the Rio Cinema to local schools into solar powerhouses - we’ve got plenty of projects with local favourites underway and we’re on the lookout for more. Want to get involved? Read on.

We’re determined to make a practical difference in the face of the climate emergency. We need to bring carbon emissions down.

And how can we do that in our community? The most effective way to reduce carbon emissions in our homes and public buildings is to install solar energy and other energy-efficient solutions - and buy green power from suppliers who are investing in new green energy generation.  

Where did we start?

Stokey Energy has been established by a group of local residents, each with unique expertise - and a major can-do attitude. From building contractors to planning gurus, we’re ready to transform streets and lives with solar panels, insulation and heat pumps.

Community

Change happens in communities - we want to talk to everyone. By setting up as a co-operative organisation, we hope to attract members with a wide range of talents and expertise, who will all be able to contribute.

Right now, we’re helping schools, theatres, sports centres and other public buildings go green. Over time, we will expand to look at health facilities, libraries and local authority housing. If it’s got a roof, it’s an option! Every building counts.
